Although primary education is compulsory in Thailand, many of the poorest rural areas suffer from limited government support and community funding. Many of the poorest children are vulnerable to exploitation by criminal enterprises promising “a better life” in the cities. Young adults are often tricked into the sex trade or indentured servitude in dangerous sweatshop labor camps.
We provide a wide range of academic and education-related support for these underfunded schools and underprivileged students. Aid ranges from direct cash donations for infrastructure improvements, transportation and/or education materials, to providing volunteer English-language instructors and support for poor families to allow their children to attend school instead of working.
Our staff in both the U.S. and Thailand are all volunteers. 100% of donations go towards our projects – no one takes a salary. This initiative is our way of sharing our good fortune and helping those those less fortunate get a good start in life.
